After watching Oksana Grigorieva on Larry King last night, Mel Gibson didn’t issue any sort of rebuttal. Rather, he sought sole custody of their daughter, Lucia.
The actor’s lawyers will appear in court to ask the judge in his custody war to award him sole custody of baby Lucia in response to Oksana’s sitdown on CNN.
Team Mel alleges that Oksana’s false and derogatory statements to the media show she is not acting in the best interests of Lucia and should cost her custody.

MEL VS. OKSANA: With new barbs traded every day, this is one of the ugliest custody feuds we’ve ever seen, and the scary thing is that it’s only beginning.
In addition to attempting to take custody from Oksana Grigorieva, Mel’s lawyers will ask Judge Scott Gordon to award her visitation, but only with a monitor.
Moreover, they will seek to deny Oksana any overnight visits with the baby, the same thing she’s requested to strip Mel of several times (to no avail so far).
This isn’t some reactionary shot in the dark. Gordon has warned Oksana she could lose custody if she talked to the media. We’ll see if he backs that up …

Making it to the final five on Dancing With the Stars is hard work. So hard that Bristol Palin admitted she didn’t vote in this week’s midterm elections.
“I did not send in my absentee ballots to Alaska,” the daughter of Sarah Palin confessed in an interview. “I’m going to be in trouble. Sorry, mom!”
Too bad for mom, since Palin-backed Tea Party favorite Joe Miller needs every vote he can get in a tooth-and-nail battle for U.S. Senate. Oops.

BRISTOL THE PISTOL: Hey, give the younger Palin a break. Votin’, schmotin’. She’s workin’ hard out there on the dance floor, all so she can support her kid.
We’re guessing she’d remember to vote in 2012.
Asked if her she wants her mom to make a run for the White House, Bristol Palin said, “Of course. I know she is great, and she is great for our country.”
A polarizing figure, Sarah Palin has been flirting openly with the idea but has not definitively said she will. What do you think? Should Sarah Palin run?

Spencer Pratt wants your attention celebrity pictures.
The Hills star, increasingly aware of his decreasing relevance and grasping for ways to stay in the news, has formulated a plan – reporting the news himself!
Not unlike Tila Tequila (there’s a career role model for you), Spencer once ruled the celebrity side of the gossip game, but now wants to be on our side of it.
Thursday, he told his Twitter fans to send him celebrity photos, promising: “I will post them on my new blog KINGSPENCER.com and give you credit and $.”
Yes, he’s got a website called King Spencer dot com. Too bad he forgot to actually launch it by the promised date of June 13 before plugging it … dumbass.

Don’t bother going to KingSpencer.com. You’ve seen all of it already.
In another Tweet, he says “anyone tweet me any celebrity sitings I’m starting my own PAP agency! I will pay for good tips if they get me the photo hahaha!”
Yeah.
While you have to give Spencer Pratt his due for the entertainment he provides, he may need to fine-tine his business acumen if he hopes to succeed here.
Rambling Tweeting rampages are fun to read, but you’re gonna need more than that. Feel free to email us if you want a guest column at THG, though, man.
NOTE: Follow THG on Twitter. No submissions of celebrity pics required – and unlike some wannabe gossip blogs, our site’s actually live. Most of the time.

What happened to shutting up until May 13?
Shockingly, you can’t take anything Michael Lohan says at face value. Despite trying to work things out, he’s still on his ex-wife and daughter’s cases.
Michael’s lawyer, Lisa Bloom, says that in no uncertain terms, Michael is not backing down or backing off his efforts to get Lindsay Lohan into rehab.
This came after reports that Mike had backed off his demand for a conservatorship and was no longer going to force the issue. Not to worry – he is!
As for Dina, he plans to continuing riding her as well. In the figurative sense, anyway, about being her enabler … we don’t need anymore offspring.

ADDICT, ENABLER: Michael Lohan wants to pry the former from the latter.
Lawyers for Michael and Lindsay are “trying to resolve things amicably,” but resolving it amicably doesn’t mean Michael’s gonna back down, nor will he back off.
Bloom was quoted earlier: “There has been no agreement as to anything. All options remain open to save and protect Lindsay. That is Michael’s #1 priority.”
“Michael wants Lindsay in rehab. If she doesn’t, all options remain open. Her decision not to meet with him or go to rehab puts him in a difficult position.”
He doesn’t want Lindsay in jail, though he may not have a choice. She can tell off haters all she wants, but a probation violation is a probation violation.
Whose side are you on?
