Bar employees may have claimed Hines Ward looked nice and sober late Friday night, but looks can be deceiving.
Police have released their findings of the traffic stop that took place in Georgia, with officers saying they detected a “strong odor” of alcohol on the Pittsburgh wide receiver when he opened the door. Ward subsequently blew a .128 on the field sobriety test before being taken into custody.
The legal limit is .08.
Ward told the cops he had only drank two Coronas on the evening and was not impaired.
But the arresting officer says the DWTS victor had a difficult time keeping his balance during a “walk and turn evaluation” and also had trouble following his finger. For a guy who follows multiple passing routes on Sunday afternoons, that’s never a good sign.

U.S. soccer star Landon Donovan may be facing a crisis much bigger than his team’s elimination from the World Cup this past weekend – a forthcoming love child.
A newspaper in the UK will allege that a British woman is pregnant by Donovan, who is separated from his wife, actress Bianca Kajlich, but not divorced from her.
His relationship with Kajlich became the subject of great interest last week after they shared an emotional phone call following his winning goal against Algeria.
Donovan, who played for the Liverpool football club Everton this winter, blew her a kiss during an interview, fueling speculation that the couple might reconcile.
“It would surprise no one if Landon and Bianca were back together very soon,” said one of her friends. “They have remained in contact and are very close.”
Landon Donovan is separated from wife Bianca Kajlich. The fact that he may have fathered a love child with someone else may not aid his bid to reconcile with her.
The identity of Donovan’s baby mama is unclear at this time, as is how Bianca will feel about his attempts to win her back if this love child rumor proves to be legit.
Regarding the pregnancy rumor, Donovan did not deny it might be true, telling Sports Illustrated’s Web site: “I was informed of the possibility during the World Cup.”
“If I need to take responsibility, then I will provide the appropriate support,” he added. “This is a private matter, and I will refrain from further comment at this time.”
Donovan has spent most of his career in the U.S., but played on loan in Liverpool earlier this year, becoming a fan favorite – apparently with one woman in particular.
He was a hero for the USA at the World Cup, scoring three goals and guiding the team to the knockout phase, where they were eliminated on Saturday by Ghana.

Last week, the American Idol judges saved Michael Lynche from elimination.
But a new report suggets this wasn’t the first time a contestant came close to leaving the show, only for an Idol mainstay to step in at the last minute.
According to TMZ, Crystal Bowersox stormed out of the studio last month, sick of all the attention from the competition and asked Ryan Seacrest in the parking lot: “What’s the point?”
Crystal, who said prior to this season that she had never watched American Idol, wanted to return to her family in Ohio. How did Seacrest convince Bowersox to stay? By stating that a victory would make her a millionaire and:
“The greatest thing I ever did was make enough money so I could buy my mom a house. You can buy your mom a house.”
At this, Bowersox reportedly changed her mind, a decision Fox executives must be thankful for. Can you imagine this season without Crystal, the clear favorite and most unique singer remaining?
Perish the thought.
