With just over a week left until their blockbuster film’s sequel swings into theaters, the stars of Warner Bros. Pictures’ “Sherlock Holmes: A Game Of Shadows” joined together in Westwood, California on Tuesday night for a glitzy red carpet premiere.
Held at the Regency Village Theatre, director Guy Ritchie was accompanied by his latest love Jacqui Ainsley while flanked by cast members including Rachel McAdams, Robert Downey Jr (with pregnant wife Susan), Noomi Rapace and Jared Harris.
Tinseltown beauties Jodie Foster and Amber Heard also turned up to check out the 2009 book-based film’s follow-up ahead of its December 16th release.
Also starring Jude Law, the Ritchie helmed project sees Downey Jr and Law teaming up against criminal mastermind Professor Moriarty as they investigate the death of the Crown Prince of Austria.
Talking about the decision to offer up a second round of “Sherlock Holmes,” Guy told press, “I wanted to make another one for all sorts of reason, but in no small part [it was] because of the chemistry between these two lads (Robert and Jude). That’s the engine that drives the narrative. Plus, it’s fun watching them.”
Twi-hards have been chomping at the bit for this week to finally come, and tonight (November 14) the cast of “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1” descended on Los Angeles.
Also in the house were franchise favorites like Ashley Greene, Nikki Reed, and Kellan Lutz, all looking excited to be so warmly welcomed by fans and press.
Additionally, Peter Facinelli, Jackson Rathbone, Booboo Stewart, Charlie Bewley, and Julia Jones came out to join in the fun.
As for the cast’s fellow Tinseltown stars turning up to watch the magical motion picture be unveiled, celeb sightings included Ashley Tisdale, Cassie Scerbo, Willow Smith, Jennifer Love Hewitt, Bella Thorne, Cody Simpson, Bruno Mars, Dania Ramirez, Kylie and Jendall Jenner and Heather Locklear.
Less than a week away, “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1” is scheduled to hit theaters nationwide this Friday, November 18th.
On-hand for the film’s French debut, Marion Cotillard hit the red carpet for the Paris premiere of “Contagion” on Sunday (October 23).
Showing off her fun and quirky style, the “Inception” actress sported a white and black print frock with bright orange pumps as she gave press to the project alongside director Steven Soderbergh.
Next up on the professional front for Marion is a starring role in the Jacques Audiard’s mystery flick “Rust and Bone.”
Leaving little to the imagination, Cotillard goes topless for the movie, donning just a pair of teeny black bikini bottoms for a daring ocean scene.
Stepping out on the red carpet for one of her many new projects, Michelle WIlliams attended the “Meek’s Cutoff” premiere during the 67th Venice Film Festival in Venice, Italy on Sunday (September 5).
Held at the Sala Grande Palazzo Del Cinema, the soon-to-be 30-year-old actress looked stunning as she joined castmates Neal Huff, Bruce Greenwood, Tommy Nelson and director Kelly Reichardt for the weekend screening.
With the film being drawn from diaries kept by Western-bound pioneers, “Meek’s Cutoff” is the second time in which Miss Williams has worked with director Reichardt.
Of her hankering to choose Michelle, Kelly told the AP earlier today, “I love working with Michelle. She is very game for the kind of films we are making. They are really hard and there are no comforts at all.”
Meanwhile, “Meek’s Cutoff” is among 23 films in the running to win the prestigious Golden Lion award, which will be handed out on September 11.
Promoting her upcoming movie overseas, Jessica Alba attended the “Machete” premiere during the 67th Venice Film Festival in Venice, Italy on Wednesday night (September 1).
Held at the Sala Grande Palazzo Del Cinema, the “Sin City” star dazzled as she joined director Robert Rodriguez and co-star Danny Trejo on the red carpet.
Due out in theaters on September 3, Jess recently told of the film, “It’s exciting, for us as artists. Usually, we’re just entertaining and, most of the time, everything is just pure, commercial entertainment.”
She adds, “Especially in Hollywood, there isn’t a whole lot of emphasis on much else. Film is used, in other places in the world, for political messages, and it’s an art, in all different forms. Some people don’t have a voice, and their government keeps them from having a voice. Knowing that we can participate in something that is socially and politically relevant, even in one of the biggest pop culture makers of the world, Hollywood, that’s awesome.”
Gearing up for an all-new go round on her hit competition show, Heidi Klum was all smiles at the Season 8 premiere party for “Project Runway” in New York City on Wednesday night (July 28).
The Victoria’s Secret beauty joined alongside the many involved with the fashionable series, as the festivities took place at the swanky Empire Hotel.
As for “Project Runway,” Miss Klum & Co. return to the Lifetime network at 9pm tomorrow night (July 29) to show off the new cast of designing hopefuls.
This time around, the contestants are more diverse than ever, with seventeen men and women – young and not-so-young – competing for the top prize.
