Kate Gosselin’s days as a reality star are over.
After years of providing insight into her domestic bliss with Jon Gosselin, then the ugly demise of her relationship with Jon Gosselin, as she raised their eight children all the while, TLC has pulled the plug on her show.
R.I.P. Kate Plus 8.
“TLC has decided not to renew another season of Kate Plus 8,” a network rep said. “By the end of this season Kate Plus 8 will have hit the 150 episode mark (including Jon & Kate Plus 8); an exceptional milestone.”
“TLC hopes to check in with Kate Gosselin and the family periodically.”
Read: Probably never, but that sounds kind of polite at least.
Sad news for Kate, but probably good news for the kids, who have been scarred for life as it is. Many times over. Besides, she’ll have more free time now, which should help her efforts to start dating again. There’s a silver lining.

U-S-A! U-S-A!
Following a string of appearances in Canada, the stylish and downright adorable royals, Prince William and Kate Middleton, have arrived in L.A.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge landed at LAX around 4 p.m. local time Friday, greeting Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa and Gov. Jerry Brown.
Prince William took the lead and his stunning wife, who is making her first trip to the U.S., followed. She looked amazing. Big surprise there:
The Duke and Duchess touch down in America.
Kate pulled off a wardrobe change on the plane, having departed Canada in a scarlet Marianne coat-dress by Catherine Walker, only to arrive in a lavender Peridot dress designed by Roksanda Illinic and LK Bennett nude heels.
After landing at LAX, the Royals were whisked off for official business.
William and Catherine swung by The Beverly Hilton hotel for Variety‘s Venture Capital and New Media Summit, discussing the U.K.’s technology innovations and new media, and meeting with representatives of different companies.
Once that was over, they attended an outdoor reception held at the British Consulate-General residence, where he Duke and Duchess worked the crowd.
All throughout the day, fans have been crowding the streets of Hancock Park near the house where Prince William and Kate Middleston will reside.
Security is ridiculously tight.
“Our primary concern is to protect the rights and privacy of the residents as well as the safety of the royal couple,” LAPD spokeswoman Mitzi Fierro said.
Tomorrow’s itinerary includes a charity polo match at the Santa Barbara Polo & Racquet Club and then a glamorous evening at the BAFTA Awards.

Kicking off her workday, Mary Kate Olsen was spotted leaving a hotel in New York City this afternoon (May 13).
The actress/designer donned a black dress and sunglasses as she carried her coffee cup out to a chauffeured car.
Earlier this week, Mary Kate was spotted dining out at The Darby Supper Club with a hunky new male companion.
Olsen also recently released a sneak peek of the Elizabeth and James TEXTILE’s Fall line, and it’s fabulous, of course.

They’re always up for a snazzy affair, and last night (April 20) Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen were spotted at the premiere of “The Union” in New York City.
The “Full House” babes showed up at the World Financial Center dressed to impress as they posed on the red carpet.
“The Union” is a Cameron Crowe documentary about the collaboration between Elton John and Leon Russell.
Last week, Mary Kate and Ashley hit up the Women in Need’s Commit to WIN dinner. These girls never seem to sleep!

Despite reports that she still pines for Jon, Kate Gosselin says she’s looking for someone new and is about ready to get back into the dating world.
“I’m kind of out-ish, sort of,” the Kate Plus 8 star said. “You never really picture yourself back in that scene after you’re done with it in your 20s.”
“But I’m trying to be a little more open-minded now,” Kate added. “If there’s anybody out there that wants to deal with us, that would be good.”
JON & KATE: On the same page, albeit not together.
It’s not like the mother of eight, who has gone through personal and media hell and back over the last few years, hasn’t come a long way, though.
“I’m encouraging the kids to enjoy their time with him,” Kate says, referring to ex-hubby Jon, who she’s a lot kinder to in public comments lately.
Kate, who just celebrated her 36th birthday last week, says that when it comes to her ex, she’s “keeping communication as positive as possible.”
Not exactly a convincing, heartwarming statement, but … baby steps.
Speaking of Jon Gosselin, dude has probably has had a half dozen jobs in as many months, but like Kate, he’s gotta do what he’s gotta do to get by.
He used to whore himself out to any mediocre girls that showed interest. Now he’s doing that for any entity that will pay him. The latest – Quiznos.
Seriously, the working stiff is pushing Quiznos promos on Twitter to his (soon to be declining number of) 72,184 followers for around $500 a pop.
How the mighty have fallen. Hope he also gets free subs, at least.

While they’ve been rumored to be in the planning stages for their own nuptials, Prince William and Kate Middleton stepped out as guests at a wedding held in Northleach, Gloucestershire on Saturday (October 23).
The lovely couple walked along side-by-side as they readied to watch on while William’s longtime friend Harry Meade exchanged vows with his lovely bride, Rosie Bradford.
Always drawing attention whenever out together, Kate looked exquisite in a bright blue dress with a black jacket, heels and a stylish brimmed hat while her royal beau wore a classic tails jacket and trousers with vest and tie.
As for the gossip surrounding Will and Kate’s expected impending marriage, a source recently said, “We don’t know the date, only William and Kate know. I don’t expect we’ll be told until the last minute. William plays his cards very close to his chest, that’s his nature.”

Showing up to face each other in court, Michael Lohan and Kate Major were both spotted earlier today (August 18) at the Southampton Town Justice Courthouse in New York.
A few weeks ago, Mr Lohan was facing second degree harassment charges after he reportedly threatened to kill Ms Major, then kicking her and shoving her into a chair.
Coming as a bit of a shock, however, while in court today, Kate asked the judge to drop the charges against Michael as well as to lift the order of protection.
Unless Lohan gets into trouble within the next six months, he should be in the clear.
“I’m happy with the outcome,” Major tells Gossip Cop. She explains, “I wanted to move on with my life in positive direction.”
