Getting his day started, John Mayer was seen leaving his apartment in New York City earlier today (October 5).
Joined by a mystery woman, the “Waiting on the World to Change” crooner sported a navy vest with a light blue button-up and brown trousers.
As for his final decision to leave the Twitter world, John explained that it has everything to do with devoting more time to his art.
Mayer stated, “It occurred to me that since the invocation of Twitter, nobody who has participated in it has created any lasting art. And yes! Yours truly is included in that roundup as well.”
He continued, “Has any artist, since they’ve begun to give you daily insights into their life created their best work yet? Are the best writers of our time on Twitter?”
“Those who decide to remain offline will make better work than those online. Why? Because great ideas have to gather. They have to pass the test of withstanding thirteen different moods, four different months and sixty different edits. Anything less is day trading. You can either get a bunch of mentions now or change someone’s life next year.”

John Stamos will guest star on Glee this fall.
But there’s nothing gleeful about his current situation: the actor took to the stand yesterday to defend himself against Allison Coss, the young woman arrested in December for trying to extort $680,000 from Stamos in exchange for not releasing allegedly compromising photos of him.
Testifying in U.S. District Court, Stamos denied all accusations that he used cocaine and/or accompanied an underage Coss in a hot tub. He admitted the following under oath:
Coss and boyfriend Scott Sippola are charged with conspiracy and two counts of extortion against the actor. If convicted on all charges, they could face up to nine years in prison. No photos of the star have turned up in any investigation of the pair’s home.
Near the end of his testimony, Coss’ lawyer randomly asked Stamos if he was a friend of Charlie Sheen. He replied: “No, but I know Lindsay Lohan.”

As they continue to heal after the tragic passing of their son Jett back in January of 2009, John Travolta and Kelly Preston have announced that their family is expecting a new arrival!
Breaking the joyous news via their Web sites, the Hollywood couple tells, “It’s impossible to keep a secret … especially one as wonderful as this.”
Travolta, 56, and Preston, 47, continue, “We want to be the first to share this great news with everyone that we are expecting a new addition to our family.”
Also parents to a 10-year-old daughter named Ella Bleu, the family signed the announcement “Love, John, Kelly and Ella.”

Two-time presidential candidate John Edwards has confirmed that he and wife Elizabeth Edwards are separated, but that he still cares deeply about her.
“It is an extraordinarily sad moment, but I love my children more than anything and still care deeply about Elizabeth,” Edwards said in a statement.
A friend of Elizabeth Edwards also confirmed Wednesday that the couple is separated. Elizabeth’s sister, Nancy Anania, said that she remains strong.
“She said, ‘I’ve had it. I can’t do this. I want my life back,’” Anania said. “I’m really proud of her. Somehow, she’s doing as well as you could expect.”
The statements from John and Elizabeth Edwards come …
Yup, it’s pretty hard to see how you’d come back from that.
Young initially claimed that he fathered the child with John Edwards’ mistress in the weeks leading up to the crucial presidential primaries in 2008.
John Edwards publicly declared only last week that he is the father of the child with Rielle Hunter, who worked as a videographer for his campaign.
Young’s says Edwards tried to hide the affair, begging his “crazy slut” mistress to get an abortion and then wanting to have a fake DNA test done.
