Dr. Conrad Murray Defense Witness Finally Puts it Out There: Michael Jackson Killed Himself!

Dr. Conrad Murray Defense Witness Finally Puts it Out There: Michael Jackson Killed Himself!

Dr. Conrad Murray Defense Witness Finally Puts it Out There: Michael Jackson Killed Himself!

The late Michael Jackson likely helped himself to extra doses of potent drugs while Dr. Conrad Murray’s back was turned and accidentally took his own life.

That’s according to the defense’s final witness, who finally came out and said, under oath, the theory that Murray’s defense has been floating for months.

Murray’s lawyers long have asserted that Jackson caused his own death, even as the likelihood of such an event has been discredited by the prosecution.

Still, White told the jury, in Jackson’s last minutes of consciousness, the insomniac took several pills of the sedative lorezepan, then injected the Propofol.

“You think it was a self-injection of propofol between 11:30 and 12?” defense attorney J. Michael Flanagan asked. “In my opinion, yes,” White responded.

White, like the prosecution’s star witness, Dr. Steven Shafer, is an anesthesiologist and Propofol expert. The prosecution will cross-examine him next week.

After that, it’s up to the jury to determine if there is reasonable doubt to acquit Murray of involuntary manslaughter, or if the prosecution made its case.

It goes without saying that Jackson’s family feels they have.

Family members have attended trial every day, wasting little time praising the D.A. – or in this case, denying Michael was responsible for his own death.

His sister La Toya Jackson Tweeted, after a particularly tense Friday in courty: “MICHAEL DID NOT KILL HIMSELF!!! HE WOULD NEVER DO THAT!!!!”

The implication isn’t that he tried to, but point taken.

There’s also the question of whether that would absolve Murray of guilt even if it did occur. The state contends it would not, and that he’s guilty anyway.

Prosecution witnesses say Murray not only gave too much Propofol, he also failed to properly monitor MJ, botched CPR and waited too long to call 911.

That, along with inconsistencies in Murray’s own timeline of events, plus startling images like the Michael Jackson autopsy photo, could be his undoing.

He faces up to four years in prison if convicted.

Michael Jackson Album Sales: Not Invincible

Michael Jackson Album Sales: Not Invincible

Michael Jackson Album Sales: Not Invincible

Michael Jackson’s posthumous new album, Michael, sold 228,000 copies in the U.S. and hundreds of thousands more abroad in its first week.

The domestic haul lagged only Taylor Swift’s Speak Now (259,000) and Susan Boyle’s The Gift (254,000). Not Invincible, but very formidable.

While perhaps a bit of a letdown by MJ standards, the “new” material was unreleased for a reason, and his sales trounced Crystal Bowersox.

Not surprisingly, the late King of Pop’s label notes that he “shipped platinum” in 14 different territories, meaning a million or more units were sent to those areas.

That’s different from his sales, which weren’t nearly that high, but it’s indicative of the interest his camp feels Michael will generate over the coming months.

MJ hit #1 Germany, Italy, the Netherlands and Sweden. He was #3 and #4 in Japan and the UK, respectively, but sold more than 100,000 copies in each.

The moral of the story? While will.i.am and Ne-Yo don’t approve of the album, and the Thriller days are long gone … the man is still pretty darn legendary.

Dr. Conrad Murray to Keep Medical License For Now; Joe and Katherine Jackson Attend Hearing

Dr. Conrad Murray to Keep Medical License For Now; Joe and Katherine Jackson Attend Hearing

Dr. Conrad Murray to Keep Medical License For Now; Joe and Katherine Jackson Attend Hearing

A judge ruled that the embattled Dr. Conrad Murray will be allowed to continue to practice medicine in California while awaiting trial on manslaughter charges.

On Monday, Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Michael Pastor declined to grant a request by California authorities to suspend Murray’s license indefinitely.

Dr. Murray’s attorneys fought the restriction, arguing that it would prompt authorities in Texas and Nevada, where he also practices, to take similar action.

Murray, who is charged with involuntary manslaughter in the June 25, 2009 death of Michael Jackson, has been ordered not to use anesthetics on patients.

The most surprising development Monday was the arrival of Michael Jackson’s parents, Joe and Katherine, who then sat next to each other in the front row.

dr murray photo 339x460 Dr. Conrad Murray to Keep Medical License For Now; Joe and Katherine Jackson Attend Hearing

The doc is still in. Who’d be treated by him is another story.

The Jackson patriarchs didn’t speak to each other much, according to reports, and Joe appeared to have dozed off at one point. Nevertheless, it was a shock.

After all, Joe said over the weekend that Katherine Jackson is to blame for Michael’s death, since they were so close and she did not do enough to intervene.

Then again, Murray will argue Michael Jackson killed himself, so he’s not the only one finger-pointing. Joe throwing his own wife under the bus, though? Wow.

Despicable stuff, but apparently not enough for her to cut him out of her life. Jermaine, Randy, and LaToya Jackson also attended the hearing, reports CNN.

Yesterday’s hearing was held only to determine whether Murray could maintain his California medical license, and did not directly concern the criminal case.

The judge set August 23, 2010, as the date for the start of Murray’s preliminary hearing to determine if he will stand trial on the manslaughter charge.

The prosecutor said that hearing could last a week.

Blanket Jackson Goes Bonkers on YouTube

Blanket Jackson Goes Bonkers on YouTube

Blanket Jackson Goes Bonkers on YouTube

Michael Jackson’s children have remained largely out of the spotlight since the music icon’s death, making these newly-discovered videos all the more surprising.

A series of home videos showing eight-year-old Prince Michael Jackson II (a.k.a. Blanket) dancing, singing and reciting movie quotes have surfaced on YouTube.

He is very cute and full of energy.

In this clip, Blanket can be seen bouncin’ around and singing with cousin Donte (one of Jermaine Jackson’s sons … not the one who tried to taser Blanket) …

It’s unclear who leaked these videos and why, but they provide a rare glimpse into the daily life of MJ’s youngest son, who’s always been shrouded in mystery.

Follow the jump for two more videos of Blanket, known for being the shyest of Michael’s kids, revealing his extroverted side and reenacting a from Star Wars.

Blanket also likes to pretend he’s Vincent van Gogh, and makes references to Mike Wazowski, presumably a reference to the creature from Monsters, Inc.:

Teenage Son of Jermaine Jackson Orders Stun Gun Online, Attempts to Taser Blanket

Teenage Son of Jermaine Jackson Orders Stun Gun Online, Attempts to Taser Blanket

Teenage Son of Jermaine Jackson Orders Stun Gun Online, Attempts to Taser Blanket

Poor Blanket. One day, he’s being dangled over a balcony by his dad. Then, years later, an older cousin orders a freaking stun gun online to taser the tyke.

Jermaine Jackson’s 13-year-old son, Jaafar, ordered a stun gun online, and according to reports, Blanket (a.k.a. Prince Michael Jackson II) was the target.

Presumably just as a (horribly misguided) prank? We hope?

Randy Jackson initially said that the gun was confiscated by security when it was delivered three weeks ago and locked up by guardian Katherine Jackson.

TMZ reports that children at the Jackson home were playing with the gun last week, however, specifically using the gun on the second floor of the house.

Security guards on the property were perplexed because they couldn’t figure out where the noise was coming from … nor could they identify the sound.

Late last week, we’re told one of the security guards went upstairs and “stopped Jermaine’s kids from stunning Blanket.” The guard confiscated the gun.

prince michael blanket jackson 290x461 Teenage Son of Jermaine Jackson Orders Stun Gun Online, Attempts to Taser Blanket

The L.A. County Department of Children and Family Services went to the Jackson home in Encino last night, around 10:30, confiscating Jaafar’s stun gun.

But sources say the kids have a second gun that DCFS did not recover and is somewhere on the property. DCFS considers this “a very serious situation.”

Randy, brother of the late Michael Jackson and Blanket’s uncle, says the gun was delivered to the house  weeks ago, only to be intercepted by security.

Katherine Jackson’s lawyer, Adam Streisand, claims that Katherine took control of the gun and locked it up, until DCFS took the gun away on Monday.

DCFS conducted interviews last night at the house with Katherine and some of the kids. Michael Jackson’s three kids live with her, as do some cousins.

Both Randy and Streisand insist none of the Jackson children ever got hold of the gun, but TMZ’s sources inside the DCFS seem to suggest otherwise.

We can’t even think of anything to add to this story. We just hope for Blanket’s sake – and everyone’s – that the weapon was removed and no one hurt.

Dr. Conrad Murray to Be Charged in Michael Jackson Death

Dr. Conrad Murray to Be Charged in Michael Jackson Death

Dr. Conrad Murray to Be Charged in Michael Jackson Death

After an investigation of more than seven months, the Los Angeles County D.A. is ready to charge Dr. Conrad Murray in the death of Michael Jackson.

Look for charges to be filed as early as next week.

Members of the D.A.’s office, including the Los Angeles County District Attorney himself, Steve Cooley, have already met about filing a criminal case.

While members of the LAPD still have not met with the D.A. to present the case, the deputy D.A. assigned to the Michael Jackson investigation, David Walgren, has worked closely with LAPD detectives on the case, is  familiar with the’s details.

He has already briefed Cooley and others in the office.

dr murray pic 473x264 Dr. Conrad Murray to Be Charged in Michael Jackson Death

It appears Dr. Conrad Murray will stand trial and soon.

Dr. Conrad Murray was Michael Jackson’s personal physician at the time of his June 25 death, believed to have been caused by the anesthetic Propofol.

He disappeared, or at least kept an extremely low profile, for several months, only to return to work lately because dude was behind on child support.

He’s already lawyered up in anticipation of the charges to come.

The most likely of those charges? Involuntary manslaughter. Murder is a hard sell, as he surely didn’t mean to take the life of the King of Pop that day.

Many believe his negligence and/or shady medical practices played a role in MJ’s death, however, and that’s enough to warrant serious charges.
