Relationships come and go as people seek out that special someone to spend the rest of their days with, and Hollywood certainly sees its fair share of unsuccessful tries at love.
The year of 2011 witnessed a number of high-profile marriages, though there were just as many couples who decided that it just wasn’t meant to be.
Among the married pairs who sadly parted way during the past twelve months were Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony, who now find themselves in a dispute over custody of their shared baby twins, Max and Emme.
Other celebrities divorcing during the year were partners of 72 days, Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries, along with Ashton Kutcher and Demi Moore, Scarlett Johannson and Ryan Reynolds, Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz, Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver, and Zooey Deschanel and Ben Gibbard.
Meanwhile, there were a handful of stars who had, fortunately, not yet made it to the altar before deciding to call it quits.
The floundering romance of George Clooney and Elisabetta Canalis made plenty of headlines with Cameron Diaz and Alex Rodriguez, Kate Bosworth and Alexander Skarsgard and Renee Zellweger and Bradley Cooper also among the couples no longer together at year’s end.
Rounding out 2011′s Tinseltown breakups were Zoe Saldana and fiance Keith Britton, Chaz Bono and Jennifer Elia, Blake Lively and Leonardo DiCaprio, Mila Kunis and Macaulay Culkin, Amanda Seyfried and Ryan Phillippe and Jesse James and Kat Von D, who split not once, but twice over the past twelve months.

Celebrating fatherhood and paternal bonds, dad’s around the world are being toasted for all that they do as family patriarchs during the Father’s Day holiday (June 19).
Among the proud papas are the hard-working stars of Hollywood, with big names such as Brad Pitt and Tom Cruise being among the men juggling daddy duties with their demanding filming and promotional schedules.
With the first observance of Father’s Day having taken place in Fairmont, West Virginia on July 5, 1908, the holiday was organized by Mrs. Grace Golden Clayton as a way to “celebrate the lives of the 210 fathers who had been lost in the Monongah Mining disaster several months earlier in Monongah, West Virginia, on December 6, 1907.”
While other stars such as Ben Affleck, Matthew McConaughey, Russell Crowe, Jude Law, Matt Damon and U.S. President Barack Obama are seasoned vets when it comes to kiddies, a new batch of dads emerged in Tinseltown over the past twelve months.
Among the new crop of high-profile papas joining in on the Father’s Day fun are Orlando Bloom, Owen Wilson, David Schwimmer and daddy of adorable twins, Nick Cannon.
Needless to say, GossipCenter wishes all of the dads around the globe a big “Happy Father’s Day” with nothing but good things to come over the next twelve months and beyond!

With her movie debut set to hit theaters in just under three weeks, Brooklyn Decker was busy getting a jumpstart on promotions in Los Angeles on Friday (January 21).
The Sports Illustrated Swimsuit beauty dropped by Young Hollywood Studios to plug “Just Go With It” as she bides her time while hubby Andy Roddick is busy partaking in the Australian Open tennis tournament in the Land Down Under.
As for her upcoming movie, Miss Decker stars alongside Jennifer Aniston, Adam Sandler and Nicole Kidman in the Dennis Dugan directed romantic comedy.
Set for a February 11 release, the flick tells the tale of “a man who enlists the help of a woman and her kids to land the woman of his dreams.”

Taking care of some errands, Paris Hilton was spotted out and about in West Hollywood yesterday afternoon (October 21).
Joined by her boyfriend Cy Waits, the “Simple Life” actress grabbed a bite to eat as some pre-shopping fuel while the paparazzi looked on from afar.
Miss Hilton hit up Trashy Lingerie in search of a Halloween costume and even took a few minutes to pose for pictures with some fans.
And of course, Paris also made sure to seek out some fabulous holiday get-ups for her pooch pals.

She’s trying to sort out the mess of her marriage, and Sandra Bullock has been staying secluded as of late.
The “Proposal” babe got back to SoCal last Wednesday and has taken every precaution to keep from being photographed.
Meanwhile, her cheating husband Jesse James’ second mistress Melissa Smith was spotted out over the weekend picking up an EPT Pregnancy Test.
Of course there’s all kinds of speculation over whether or not the could-be baby is James’. Also, a fourth mistress has come forward and hired Gloria Allred, though she’s not looking to tell or sell her story.
