Dr. Conrad Murray Defense Witness Finally Puts it Out There: Michael Jackson Killed Himself!

Dr. Conrad Murray Defense Witness Finally Puts it Out There: Michael Jackson Killed Himself!

Dr. Conrad Murray Defense Witness Finally Puts it Out There: Michael Jackson Killed Himself!

The late Michael Jackson likely helped himself to extra doses of potent drugs while Dr. Conrad Murray’s back was turned and accidentally took his own life.

That’s according to the defense’s final witness, who finally came out and said, under oath, the theory that Murray’s defense has been floating for months.

Murray’s lawyers long have asserted that Jackson caused his own death, even as the likelihood of such an event has been discredited by the prosecution.

Still, White told the jury, in Jackson’s last minutes of consciousness, the insomniac took several pills of the sedative lorezepan, then injected the Propofol.

“You think it was a self-injection of propofol between 11:30 and 12?” defense attorney J. Michael Flanagan asked. “In my opinion, yes,” White responded.

White, like the prosecution’s star witness, Dr. Steven Shafer, is an anesthesiologist and Propofol expert. The prosecution will cross-examine him next week.

After that, it’s up to the jury to determine if there is reasonable doubt to acquit Murray of involuntary manslaughter, or if the prosecution made its case.

It goes without saying that Jackson’s family feels they have.

Family members have attended trial every day, wasting little time praising the D.A. – or in this case, denying Michael was responsible for his own death.

His sister La Toya Jackson Tweeted, after a particularly tense Friday in courty: “MICHAEL DID NOT KILL HIMSELF!!! HE WOULD NEVER DO THAT!!!!”

The implication isn’t that he tried to, but point taken.

There’s also the question of whether that would absolve Murray of guilt even if it did occur. The state contends it would not, and that he’s guilty anyway.

Prosecution witnesses say Murray not only gave too much Propofol, he also failed to properly monitor MJ, botched CPR and waited too long to call 911.

That, along with inconsistencies in Murray’s own timeline of events, plus startling images like the Michael Jackson autopsy photo, could be his undoing.

He faces up to four years in prison if convicted.

Key Witness in Dr. Conrad Murray Case: MIA!

A pharmacist who testified he shipped massive amounts of Propofol to Dr. Conrad Murray in the weeks leading to Michael Jackson’s death is now … gone.

Vanished, disappeared, off the grid without a trace.

While there is no sign of illegal activity, and there’s certainly a good case to be made against Murray without him, it’s a bizarre situation just the same.

According to prosecutors, Tim Lopez, a former pharmacist at Applied Pharmacy Services in Las Vegas, mysteriously moved to Thailand and can’t be found.

Prosecutors now want a judge to let them use Lopez’ previous testimony from the preliminary hearing in January, but it’s unclear if that will be permitted.

During his testimony, Lopez claimed Dr. Conrad Murray ordered large quantities of Propofol, beginning on April 6, 2009. MJ died June 25 of that year.

That would certainly connect the doc to the anesthetic that killed Michael, although the precise degree of Lopez’s importance isn’t easy to quantify.

Dr. Conrad Murray to Keep Medical License For Now; Joe and Katherine Jackson Attend Hearing

Dr. Conrad Murray to Keep Medical License For Now; Joe and Katherine Jackson Attend Hearing

Dr. Conrad Murray to Keep Medical License For Now; Joe and Katherine Jackson Attend Hearing

A judge ruled that the embattled Dr. Conrad Murray will be allowed to continue to practice medicine in California while awaiting trial on manslaughter charges.

On Monday, Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Michael Pastor declined to grant a request by California authorities to suspend Murray’s license indefinitely.

Dr. Murray’s attorneys fought the restriction, arguing that it would prompt authorities in Texas and Nevada, where he also practices, to take similar action.

Murray, who is charged with involuntary manslaughter in the June 25, 2009 death of Michael Jackson, has been ordered not to use anesthetics on patients.

The most surprising development Monday was the arrival of Michael Jackson’s parents, Joe and Katherine, who then sat next to each other in the front row.

The doc is still in. Who’d be treated by him is another story.

The Jackson patriarchs didn’t speak to each other much, according to reports, and Joe appeared to have dozed off at one point. Nevertheless, it was a shock.

After all, Joe said over the weekend that Katherine Jackson is to blame for Michael’s death, since they were so close and she did not do enough to intervene.

Then again, Murray will argue Michael Jackson killed himself, so he’s not the only one finger-pointing. Joe throwing his own wife under the bus, though? Wow.

Despicable stuff, but apparently not enough for her to cut him out of her life. Jermaine, Randy, and LaToya Jackson also attended the hearing, reports CNN.

Yesterday’s hearing was held only to determine whether Murray could maintain his California medical license, and did not directly concern the criminal case.

The judge set August 23, 2010, as the date for the start of Murray’s preliminary hearing to determine if he will stand trial on the manslaughter charge.

The prosecutor said that hearing could last a week.

Dr. Conrad Murray Defense Continues to Blame MJ

Dr. Conrad Murray Defense Continues to Blame MJ

Dr. Conrad Murray Defense Continues to Blame MJ

It looks like Michael Jackson’s addictive personality and need for instant gratification may become a critical component of Dr. Conrad Murray’s legal strategy.

Yesterday we talked about how Dr. Murray’s defense will argue that Michael Jackson killed himself by pumping a lethal dose of Propofol into his own body.

This happened, allegedly, when the doc left the room to use the can. Murray says he personally administered only an eighth of the amount in MJ’s system.

That’s far-fetched if you ask us. But to bolster the story, sources familiar with the defense’s strategy say they plan to show it was in character for Michael.

Michael Jackson was a demanding celebrity, lawyers for Conrad Murray will claim, and a man-child who wanted what he wanted when he wanted it, period.

Even if it posed a danger to himself.

dr conrad murray 281x359 Dr. Conrad Murray Defense Continues to Blame MJthe late mj 226x359 Dr. Conrad Murray Defense Continues to Blame MJ

BLAME THE VICTIM: It’s the only card Dr. Conrad Murray has left, and he’s playing it. Valid or outrageous? A jury may have to make that determination in court.

Amazingly, the defense will use Coke to prove its point.

Not Coke as in cocaine, but plain ol’ Coca-Cola. Michael Jackson apparently consumed massive quantities of the legendary soft drink, despite its caffeine content.

Jackson, an insomniac, knew full well that guzzling the stuff would make it hard to sleep, but he did not care. When the time came to sleep, he turned to drugs.

The defense will provide examples of MJ hyping himself up with caffeine from soda, then using drugs – including Propofol, an anesthesic – to knock himself out.

Basically, this is all meant to establish that he was an individual who demanded instant gratification, making the idea of Jackson waking up, seeing Dr. Murray was out of the room and self-medicating with massive amounts of Propofol believable.

Is it? What do you think? Did Michael Jackson play a role in his own demise, or is this shady doc trying to blame the victim to save his own a$$?

Dr. Conrad Murray to Be Charged in Michael Jackson Death

Dr. Conrad Murray to Be Charged in Michael Jackson Death

Dr. Conrad Murray to Be Charged in Michael Jackson Death

After an investigation of more than seven months, the Los Angeles County D.A. is ready to charge Dr. Conrad Murray in the death of Michael Jackson.

Look for charges to be filed as early as next week.

Members of the D.A.’s office, including the Los Angeles County District Attorney himself, Steve Cooley, have already met about filing a criminal case.

While members of the LAPD still have not met with the D.A. to present the case, the deputy D.A. assigned to the Michael Jackson investigation, David Walgren, has worked closely with LAPD detectives on the case, is  familiar with the’s details.

He has already briefed Cooley and others in the office.

dr murray pic 473x264 Dr. Conrad Murray to Be Charged in Michael Jackson Death

It appears Dr. Conrad Murray will stand trial and soon.

Dr. Conrad Murray was Michael Jackson’s personal physician at the time of his June 25 death, believed to have been caused by the anesthetic Propofol.

He disappeared, or at least kept an extremely low profile, for several months, only to return to work lately because dude was behind on child support.

He’s already lawyered up in anticipation of the charges to come.

The most likely of those charges? Involuntary manslaughter. Murder is a hard sell, as he surely didn’t mean to take the life of the King of Pop that day.

Many believe his negligence and/or shady medical practices played a role in MJ’s death, however, and that’s enough to warrant serious charges.
