Patrice O’Neal passed away today at the age of 41, one month after collapsing from a stroke.
In response, a number of celebrities have taken to Twitter and expressed their sympathy over the late comedian. To wit:
Sarah Silverman: “RIP Patrice O’Neal. You made us laugh til we cried.”
Kevin Smith: “I shared some air & some air time with the man on O&A & he was always funny & thoughtful. Patrice – He WILL be missed.”
Seth Myers: “RIP Patrice O’Neal. A day spent watching clips of him on-line is a day well spent.”
Bob Saget: “Patrice O’Neal. So damn funny and so smart and such a giant heart.”
Nick Cannon: “An amazing comedian and an even better person. RIP Patrice O’Neal.”
Joe Rogan: “RIP to my friend Patrice O’Neal, a great thinker, a great comic, and a great human being. He had a truly unique perspective on this world.”
Dane Cook: “I started my career w/ Patrice O’Neal. He was 1 of the best ever. Fond memories of road gigs, late night eats & laughs.”

Gathering together to raise money for quite the worthwhile cause, the stars were out at Cipriani 42nd Street in New York City for the 2011 UNICEF Snowflake Ball on Tuesday night (November 29).
Held annually as one of the most notable black-tie galas, the ritzy soiree drew out celebrity host committee members including Sarah Jessica Parker, Uma Thurman, Angie Harmon and Vera Farmiga.
Also in attendance at the fundraising fete which has a mission to help create a healthier and safer life for children all over the globe were Jonas Brothers rocker Kevin Jonas and his lovely wife Danielle, along with Zoe Kravitz and Adrien Brody.
As for the entertainment, guests were treated to special musical performances by the Young People’s Chorus of New York City and Natasha Bedingfield while the Spirit of Compassion Award was doted upon Mark B. Grier of Prudential.
Open to the public, a single ticket to the Snowflake Ball ran a cool $2,500 while the priciest admittance was that of a Philanthropist, which purchases two prime tables for ten at the cost of $100,000.

An official agreement must still be reached, but it’s safe to celebrate, NBA fans: the lockout is over!
Commissioner David Stern and Player’s Association leader Billy Hunter appeared at a joint press conference last night and announced that a tentative agreement had been reached, the results of which mean the following: training camps and free agency will begin on December 9. A 66-game season will kick off on Christmas Day.
What is the celebrity gossip spin to all this? Kris Humphries is a free agent, of course. Where will Kim’s reality TV co-star play ball next season?!?
The bruising power forward averaged a double-double in 2010-2011, growing into one of the few bright spots for the New Jersey Nets. That team may attempt to re-sign him, but its priority will be locking up point guard Deron Williams to a long-term deal.
With no hard cap in place, the Knicks will have the deep pockets to a lure a few key free agents, and we all know how much Kris has embraced the big market lifestyle.

Grabbing an afternoon pick-me-up, Evan Rachel Wood stopped by a coffee shop in Venice, California on Friday afternoon (November 25).
Looking trendy for her post-Turkey Day outing, the “Mildred Pierce” actress dressed in a black leather jacket, brown scarf, and black skinny jeans for her midday java run.
And while Ms Wood may have been known for her rebel teenage ways in the past, she recently revealed that she’s not too tough to succumb to the craze that is Bieber fever.
During an interview, Evan exclaimed, “It’s true, it’s true! It’s absolutely true! Look, you can’t take yourself so seriously all the time. I have fun listening to his music. I was against the whole Justin Bieber thing, until I saw [concert film] Never Say Never, and I’m telling you, that movie is dangerous. It will turn you!”

What would this holiday be without family, food, football and reflection upon the things we appreciate most … in the case of THG, that means some of the turkeys we have had the privilege, the honor and the burden of covering in the past year.
We are talking some fowl individuals here … real bird brains.
Without further ado, THG’s Top 10 Turkeys of 2011 …
Who will win the 5th Annual Spencer Pratt Thanksgiving Turkey Award!?
10. President Obama and GOP presidential candidates (tie). On a day when we share the blessings this nation has provided us, we’ll also share the blame for a polarized electorate and a federal government destined for perennial gridlock.
9. Taylor Armstrong. Refining shamelessness, one episode at a time.
8. Gloria Allred. Loudmouth lawyer for accusers in seemingly every random celebrity scandal always wants to talk turkey … and gobble up publicity.
7. Dr. Conrad Murray: He killed Michael Jackson, people. Michael Jackson.
6. Snooki. Effing Snooki. If you know who she is, we don’t need to explain.
5. NBA Players. The only segment of the 1% that elects not to work. Idiots.
4. Kris Jenner. Call her an entertainment mogul. Call her a mom-ager. Call her a she-pimp for her own evil spawn. By any name, she’s an embarrassment.
3. Charlie Sheen. Always one to ruffle feathers, the Two and a Half Men star went off the rails, lost his job, then lost his freaking mind! Through it all, he raked in the cash money, riding the gravy train and lughing all the way to the bank. God Bless America.
2. Lindsay Lohan. Year after year, this girl gets into legal jams like it’s her job. What is her job, come to think of it? We forgot. All we know is that anyone else with a rap sheet that lengthy would be getting a good stuffing today … IN JAIL!!
1. Ashton Kutcher. Sheen’s replacement proved to be half a man at best, cheating on Demi Moore with assorted skanks, blaming gossip blogs, Tweeting a defense of Joe Paterno and personifying the term douche, which is like a 2011 version of turkey.
