Forget The Hunger Games for a moment. Another best-selling trilogy is hitting the big screen first.
In December, Rooney Mara and Daniel Craig will anchor The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, the first of Stieg Larsson’s beloved novels. The drama will be directed by David Fincher.
Set to rent Reznor and Karen O’s cover of Led Zeppelin’s “Immigrant Song,” the following red-band trailer gives our first look at the American version of this film, with Mara in the role of Lisbeth Salander. What do you think?

Making their debut post-engagement appearance, Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries were arm-in-arm at the Meridien Beach Plaza in Monte Carlo, Monaco on Friday (May 27).
The 30-year-old E! reality star showed off her multi-million dollar sparkler as she and her New Jersey Nets basketball playing fiance checked out the sights at the annual Amber Fashion Show.
Tweeting about the overseas excursion, Kim excitedly tweeted, “Backstage at the Matthew Williamson fashion show! He is amaze! Prince Albert & Charlene here too! About 2 go on stage! I always get nervous”
And while Kim and Kris have confirmed their plans to wed this summer, Miss Kardashian’s brother Robert isn’t 100% sure that the walk down the aisle will take place.
Talking with The Hollywood 5, Rob said, “I just don’t feel confident because Kim has always been so… like, she’s how old? She’s just been through a lot of relationships, she just always gets hurt or [doesn't] find the right dude, but, you know, Kris is actually a really good dude.”
Also chatting about the moment he learned of his sister’s nuptial plans, the 24-year-old told, “We were having, like, a family dinner, and we didn’t know what it was for, we just thought everyone was in town. [Kim] has a ring on, [but] we didn’t know what it was for, and we didn’t believe her, and we thought it was a joke… then it just got crazy… it was really bizarre.”

In the wake of Scotty McCreery’s American Idol triumph, the country is asking multiple questions today?
Typically, the previous winner ends up on the stage to congratulate the new champ and hand him/her a trophy. But DeWyze was seated in the fifth row at the finale, and Ryan Seacrest never even mentioned his name.
What happened?
According to producer Nigel Lythgoe, DeWyze refused to be a good sport. The producer Tweeted today: “I was so upset Lee DeWyze wouldn’t present the winners trophy to Scotty. Especially as he’s been on the show this Season. I guess he was shy.”
But the season nine title holder says it’s the opposite: he was never asked to participate!
“I was not asked to be involved in the Finale,” Lee wrote in response. “It wasn’t until about 2 minutes before they announced that Nigel had approached me and asked if he could “borrow” me for a second. I didnt feel a last second jump on stage was appropriate. It was Scotty’s moment.”
True. But it’s Lythgoe’s show.
What do you think, readers? Is there a real beef here? Or was it simply a case of misunderstanding?

Certain things get better with age, and David Beckham is living proof of that.
The soccer stud was spotted looking oh-so-handsome as he arrived at Old Trafford for former teammate and best friend Gary Neville’s testimonial game in Manchester, England on Tuesday (May 24).
David’s current team, Los Angeles Galaxy, gave him permission to miss the Major League Soccer match against the Houston Dynamo in order for him to cheer on his buddy at Old Trafford.
Beckham left Alex Ferguson’s United in 2003 to join Real Madrid, having graduated with Neville into the first team after winning the 1992 FA Youth Cup.
