Queen Latifah is on Team Chris Brown.
The star’s performance at the 10th Annual BET Awards Sunday, which she hosted, was “amazing, just amazing,” she raves. “Not only was it a knockout performance, but his heartfelt emotion … you can’t plan that, you can’t write that, it’s just truth.”
Fans have since argued what the truth actually is – specifically whether Brown’s Michael Jackson tribute on stage was genuine or a shameless attempt to exploit the late King of Pop’s legacy for some badly-needed positive PR.
The Queen says it’s time to forgive Chris.
Queen Latifah has Chris Brown’s back.
“He is young guy, he made a big mistake and he needs to bounce back from that. And he needs an opportunity for a second chance,” she says. “We can’t condemn that kid. He’s a kid and he needs to correct the mistake for the future, not live in the past.”
“He needs to be forgiven. Enough already. We can’t keep beating him up. She [Rihanna] is going to grow, he’s going to grow and we have to allow them both to do that.”

Tending to overseas promotions, Ashley Greene and Xavier Samuel attended the premiere of “The Twilight Saga: Eclipse” in Atwerp, Belgium on Tuesday (June 29).
Held at Kinepolis Cinema at Metropolis, the co-stars looked fabulous while greeting their strong European fanbase on the eve of the theatrical release of “Eclipse”.
In related news, the Hollywood Reporter tells that Miss Greene is in negotiations to join Miley Cyrus and Demi Moore in “LOL”.
Eyeing a role as a high school bad girl, the French film remake is “a story centering on a teenage girl (Cyrus) who is dumped by her more sexually experienced boyfriend (Finn) while her divorcee mother (Moore) struggles to move on with her life.”

Who says nothing good can come out of the sad unraveling of a fake relationship? For Jake Pavelka, his recent “heartbreak” led to some stirring acting scenes.
In an upcoming episode of Drop Dead Diva, Camille Guaty plays a reality star dumped on live TV by a Bachelor-like cad – played by the former Bachelor star.
In the climactic scene, Pavelka’s character Toby must choose between two women, and Guaty’s character, Wendy, goes into hysterics when he rejects her.
Pavelka had the perfect inspiration to play the villain, of course – he shot his scene last Monday, the same day he split with alleged fiancee Vienna Girardi.
They broke up amid rumors she was cheating with Gregory Michael.
For Jake Pavelka, it was art imitating life. Kind of.
“Jake literally discovered the shocking news about Vienna while on set, moments before shooting this scene for the first time,” Guaty tells Us Weekly.
As a result? “He did an incredible job!” the actress gushed.
Pavelka’s real-life heartbreak, she added, “gave him something to work with … I just told him to stay focused and use what happened towards the scene.”
Seems like it worked, according to his counterpart:
“Let’s just say that when we were discussing this scene beforehand, Jake found it really difficult to tell me that I wasn’t the one,” she said. “And after he heard the news from Vienna, it seemed like second nature to him … I guess we have Vienna to thank!”
Ahh, don’t we all, Camille. Don’t we all. Just hope he doesn’t make a fist at you or any of your Drop Dead Diva co-stars … things could get ugly fast.

Doing their best to branch out in business, Kim and Kourtney Kardashian were hard at work at the Mirage Resort Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas on Monday (June 28).
Flying in with mom, Kris Jenner, via private jet, the E! reality stars were in town for a press conference announcing the Kardashian Khaos store opening.
According to reports, the Kardashian gals’ new shop will be opening in mid August – with plans to showcase a line of Kardashian family designs.
Tweeting prior to the event, Kim wrote to her many fans and followers, “Hey dolls! We partnered w @themiragelv @bravadaltd @tlkfusion & r opening a Kardashian Retail Store! More info at press conference today.”

U.S. soccer star Landon Donovan may be facing a crisis much bigger than his team’s elimination from the World Cup this past weekend – a forthcoming love child.
A newspaper in the UK will allege that a British woman is pregnant by Donovan, who is separated from his wife, actress Bianca Kajlich, but not divorced from her.
His relationship with Kajlich became the subject of great interest last week after they shared an emotional phone call following his winning goal against Algeria.
Donovan, who played for the Liverpool football club Everton this winter, blew her a kiss during an interview, fueling speculation that the couple might reconcile.
“It would surprise no one if Landon and Bianca were back together very soon,” said one of her friends. “They have remained in contact and are very close.”
Landon Donovan is separated from wife Bianca Kajlich. The fact that he may have fathered a love child with someone else may not aid his bid to reconcile with her.
The identity of Donovan’s baby mama is unclear at this time, as is how Bianca will feel about his attempts to win her back if this love child rumor proves to be legit.
Regarding the pregnancy rumor, Donovan did not deny it might be true, telling Sports Illustrated’s Web site: “I was informed of the possibility during the World Cup.”
“If I need to take responsibility, then I will provide the appropriate support,” he added. “This is a private matter, and I will refrain from further comment at this time.”
Donovan has spent most of his career in the U.S., but played on loan in Liverpool earlier this year, becoming a fan favorite – apparently with one woman in particular.
He was a hero for the USA at the World Cup, scoring three goals and guiding the team to the knockout phase, where they were eliminated on Saturday by Ghana.

Keeping up with her healthy ways, Kim Kardashian was spotted out at Barry’s Bootcamp gym in Hollywood on Saturday (June 26).
Clad in her always sexy workout gear, the E! reality beauty finished up the day’s sweat session before stopping by BodyFactory to get a nutritional smoothie beverage.
Showing off her energetic attitude, the 29-year-old wrote to her many fans and followers, “Up and at ‘em! Workout time…going hard today!”
Meanwhile, Miss Kardashian was among the many cheering on the USA in the World Cup – though the States ended up losing 2-1 to Ghana in extra time.
Kim tweeted, “I just can’t concentrate when watching soccer because those loud horns sound like a beehive swarming the field…”
