On Rock of Love, Bret Michaels had more sex with desperate groupies than Heidi Montag has had plastic surgery procedures.
As a result, it shouldn’t be hard to grasp the controversy surrounding the rocker’s duet with 17-year old Miley Cyrus, especially when the lyrics on “Nothing to Lose” include:
We both know better than this/Still we can’t resist/Slowly get undressed/Won’t you fall down on me/So close I can feel you breathe.
Still, when asked about the scandalous song, Michaels told Us Weekly “it’s blown out of proportion.” He elaborated, explaining how the duet came about:
“[Miley's] like, ‘This is an incredible song, it’s beautiful. Maybe I could [add] some stuff to it, some harmonies,’” Bret said. “She was excited that she didn’t have to follow any rules.”
As for telling a girl that’s not yet old enough to vote to “slowly get undressed?”
“I never sat down and said, ‘Look at the content. Look at the lyrical content,’” Michaels said. “The part where it says she slowly gets undressed, Miley says, ‘Yeah she does.’ It has no reference to her and I. It’s not even a duet.”
In conclusion, the long-haired reality star makes no apologies:
“As God is my witness, there is nothing I have to be defensive about. I’m a good dad. I just thought it was a beautiful song.”
It’s not bad. We just hope Miley showered multiple times the day they recorded it together.

Enjoying the sunny west coast weather, Britney Spears was spotted heading over to Starbucks in Calabasas, California on Sunday (February 28).
Sporting a purple top sans bra with velour warmup pants, the “Gimme More” singer followed her security staffers as she picked up a tasty grande frappuccino to kickstart the day.
Making for quite the active weekend, Britney has been spotted keeping busy all over town over the past few days.
On Friday, Miss Spears spent the evening at Nine Zero One salon to get her brunette locks dyed blonde before heading out on Saturday for a shopping spree at Vionnet boutique.

Tragedy has struck the Osmond family.
Michael Blosil, the son of Marie Osmond, committed suicide last night. The trouble teen, who left a suicide note, jumped from his Los Angeles apartment building around 9 p.m.
Entertainment Tonight confirmed the news and quoted Donny Osmond as saying: “Please pray for my sister and her family,” while Marie recently released a statement that reads:
“My son Michael is an amazing young man, shown through his courage in facing his issues. As his mother, I couldn’t be more proud of him. The press and public have always been kind and gracious in the past, and I know they will continue to respect our privacy during this time.”
Michael was one of Marie’s eight kids. He reportedly suffered “severe depression” throughout his life, insiders say, and entered a rehab facility in 2007 at age 16.
Marie and Donny have canceled their Las Vegas show tonight, of course, and there’s no word on when they might return to the stage. Our thoughts our with their loved ones.

Dressed up for a special event, Daniel Radcliffe was spotted paying a visit to the Trevor Project’s NYC Call Center on Friday (February 26).
Sporting jeans, a shirt and jacket, the “Harry Potter” actor looked handsome as he posed for pictures with fellow call center-goers.
The Trevor Project is the leading organization focusing on suicide prevention efforts among gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgendered youth.
“I have always hated anybody who is not tolerant of gay men or lesbians or bisexuals,” the British actor sai. “Now I am in the very fortunate position where I can actually help or do something about it.”
Daniel recently filmed a public service announcement for the project.

We’ve seen supermarket tabloids claim Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart were an item.
We’ve heard from Twilight Saga co-stars that have hinted there’s a romance between this pair.
Earlier this week, Robert himself said he and Kristen were “together.” But this is a first:
A British politician has ratted out the pair! Council member Nicolas Clark was in London pub Tuesday when he spotted Pattinson and Stewart getting cozy together. Then, the guy actually Tweeted about it:
“In The Marquis of Granby with Robert Pattinson & Kristen Stewart,” he wrote, later adding: “From what I saw just a couple of kisses on lips. R+K were acting like a couple.”
Is this really what we’ve come to? Politicians are using Twitter to publicize private moments between movie stars?!?
We’re not sure how parliamentary procedure works, but can the citizens of England impeach this moron?

She’s always up for a good time, and last night (February 25) AnnaLynne McCord was spotted at the premiere screening of Discovery Channel’s “LIFE.”
The “90210” hottie looked amazing as she arrived at the Getty Center in Los Angeles alongside Matthew Lanter, sporting a sexy black strapless dress with patterned stockings and black heels.
In related news, AnnaLynne revealed that she’s enjoyed filming the second season of her hit CW show, and can’t wait for season three.
“Working on season two has been a blast because there’s a lot of drama and there’s a totally different dynamic to the show after they tore down our school. It’s a totally different school this year and people keep saying to me, ‘Wait? Like, what happened here?’ Now there are marble entryways and courtyards. It’s so much prettier.”

The list of drugs in Brittany Murphy’s system when she died have been released by the L.A. County Coroner’s office today, and it’s not a pretty picture.
According to the report, “Multiple medications were present in the blood, with elevated levels of hydrocodone, acetaminophen, and chlorpheniramine.”
“L-methamphetamine was also present.”
The report says, “It should be noted that the pattern of use of these medications suggest treatment of symptoms of a cold or other respiratory infection.”
Moreover, “Acetaminophen and hydrocodone are components of Vicodin. Chlorpheniramine is an active ingredient in some over-the-counter medications.”
The late Brittany Murphy with Simon Monjack, who she wed in 2007.
“L-methamphetamine is a component of some inhalers.”
The Coroner believes that Brittany had pneumonia and tried self-medicating with prescriptions and over-the-counter drugs … and it ultimately proved fatal.
The report notes that “Possible adverse physiological effects of elevated levels of these medications cannot be discounted, especially in a weakened state.”
“Therefore the manner of death is Accident.”
Simon Monjack, you’re in the clear. Except for trying to bilk people through the fake foundation you set up in Brittany’s name. That was real shady, man.
